Solar in a Mountain Town: Residential Solar Energy Workshop on Thursday June 8th

Solar in a Mountain Town : A Residential Solar Energy Workshop
Thursday June 8th at 7 – 9:30 pm at the Old Firehall - Rossland
Licensed Event – No Minors

As the costs of solar panels plummet and energy prices continue to rise, more homeowners are considering installing solar energy systems in their homes. Are solar energy systems a good option in Rossland? Do we get enough sun? How do you choose a system? How much will it cost and what is the return on investment? Join Kelly St John & Jeff Herr for a casual presentation on solar energy systems. And then stay to chat to some local solar home owners about their experiences installing and living with solar energy systems.

We’ll talk about:
• Solar potential in Rossland
• Photovoltaic and thermal systems
• Types of installations
• How to choose a system that suits your needs and building
• Costs and return on investment
• Challenges for residential systems in Rossland
• Living with solar energy systems
