Developing the SSP
The development of the Visions to Action Strategic Sustainability Plan was a two year collaborative process involving members of the community, City staff and Council and several consultants.
This section of the site archives key documents from 2007 to 2009 that highlight the steps taken to develop the Strategic Sustainability Plan as well as the early documents relating to the establishment of the Sustainability Commission. Included below are:
- process documents that outline the inception of the Visions to Action process
- background reports utilized to vision the forces that would shape Rossland's future
- process documents related to the development of a Community Vision for 2030
- action planning documents associated with the development of the 147 Strategic Actions
- implementation planning documents, and
- project newsletters.
These document are offered in the spirit of sharing our experiences with other communities, serving as a record of our process and ensuring that the Visions to Action initiative remains transparent and collaborative.
